Intervention after-school program
- Afterschool ELA/MATH program Tuesday/Thursday. In the first cycle, this intervention program will focus on providing academic services for at-risk students performing below grade level in English Language Arts and Mathematics. English Language Arts and Math diagnostic assessments will be used to measure student performance after the completion of the program. In the second cycle, the program will focus on standard-based instruction to master grade-level standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics. State assessment data will be used to measure student performance after the completion of the program.
- Special Education Recovery Service (SPED): Students with individualized education plans receive additional small group instruction on a weekend or weekday. Related services are recommended for students who might benefit from additional after-school services. This program is a Department of Education initiative. Students will receive between 10 to 20 hours of additional support based on need.
- Saturday Academy: Saturday Academy is a state exam preparation program that focuses on providing grade-level standard-based instruction to selected students in grades 3-5 in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The goal of the program is to prepare students to master state assessment standards.
- ENL after school: This program provides academic and linguistic support to selected ENL students in grades 2-5. This program focuses on differentiating instruction according to student need based on data, as well as lessons to prepare students for the New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT).
